In the present work experimental setup for investigation of processes typical for generating units on the basis of a typical background oriented schlieren (BOS) method setup was developed. In order to do this the BOS method setup was optimized, setup parameters allowing to achieve high accuracy were chosen, and instructions for setup parameter selection for specific investigated objects were developed.
