Modulation frequency doppler shift of the laser radiation scattered by moving object
It is shown theoretically as experimentally that intensity of the amplitude-modulated coherent optical radiation scattered or reflected by moving object bears information on velocity in the form of Doppler shift of harmonious function modulating frequency. As the photodetector reacts to the intensity of radiation proportional to this function, the effect stated above allows to realize contactless measurements of the movement parameters without application of interferometry methods.
