The paper provides an overview of the improved spectral ratio pyrometer for the temperature in the gas flow measurements. Theoretical foundations of the pyrometer measurements are reviewed. An approach to improve the photodiodes signal amplification unit for increasing signal-to-noise ratio is showed.
