Visualization of the gas microflow using femtoseconds impulses

Visualization process of the gas microflow in phase contrast scheme with focused femtosecond radiation directly into the Kerr nonlinearity air is described. It is based on the ideology of the classical method of Zernike phase contrast. Preliminary results show that the visualization takes place at the power of the illuminating laser beam order of the critical self-focusing power.
