Application of frustrated total internal reflection for research droplet evaporation from the surface

The paper describes the application of the frustrated total internal reflection method for research the evaporation of liquid droplets from horizontal surface of a glass prism, as well as the cooling drops of hot water on the surface. The description of the experimental setup for this experiments is given. Experimental results, discussion, and the prospects for further development is shown.
