Droplet size measurement for initial condensation in a model turbine

The work focuses on the application of the light extinction method for measuring wetness and droplet size distribution in wet steam model turbine. Exact solution of ill-posed inverse problem with respect to the law of droplet distribution received. Special system, which measures the attenuation of the radiation in a wide range of wavelengths (from 230 to 900 nm) has been developed. The results of mathematical modeling of measurements and processing of real extinction data are presented.
