Еlectric wind in corona discharge with needle – ring as electrode’s system

The results of comparative investigations of volt-ampere characteristics (VAC) and electric wind (EW) in negative and positive corona discharge (CD) with small (less than 3 mm) discharge gaps. The electrodes are needle – ring. The rind is made from badconducting material and connected with metal for stabilization of CD. VAC and EW were measured for various ring’s diameters (5÷1 mm), needle’s dimensions and discharge’s gaps. It was established that positive CD formed higher velocities of EW at lower power in comparison with negative one. The qualitative explanation of results based on the microphoto is presented
