Investigation of tomo PIV reconstruction algorithm for velocity measurements effectiveness in different registration configurations

The description of the tomographic PIV method for calculation instant velocity fields in the volume is presented. The accuracy of velocity calculation in different registration configurations (cameras view angels, tracer concentration, number of cameras) is investigated. In order to test the accuracy synthetic intensity distribution projections were generated. As the result of the study optimal configuration parameters were defined for the experimental setup that leads to more precise velocity computation.
